Re: Observations after 10 months

Cheers Steve, Thats the problem, I find I'm torn between knocking it down into 3rd or staying in 4th when wanting to overtake the 45 mph everywhere brigade. You know you'll get full throttle after 5.5rpm in 3rd but you kind of feel that full throttle at the lower revs in 4th at present gets the job ...

Observations after 10 months

Hey all, I've been a member since I bought my RS and have found the advice and info on here invaluable. I've been a bit tardy in logging in when the cars running fine though. I know, slap wrists. So I thought I'd put a few observations on here after owning the car for 10 months and doing about 9k. F...

RE: RS4 Passenger door does not open from inside.

Mines exactly the same. Key buttons open if pushed twice but nothing from the inside release button. All other doors and boot open but can't get in or out of passenger side. Going to Camberley next week for a service, I'll see what they suggest.

Thanks again guys, Had a look this morning and found that (for me) the easiest way to plug the hose is to disconnect the rubber from the hard green plastic pipe tucked in the rear bumper. It all pull's down to below the bumper making it easy to work on and comes off quite easily. An electrical socke...

RE: Flaps

Many thanks for the reply.
Shows how much I know!
Ideally I would love the flaps mapped cos sometimes you just don't want to be heard.
Would very much like the info on the 5 min mod though!
Thanks again

Flaps

In a previous post 'Annoying stuff on our cars' I mentioned that the exhaust flaps opening and shuting at low speed gets on my t@ts and I wish it could be on or off. 'neckarlusm' (I've miss spelled that haven't I) mentioned that it would be good to have it mapped out. Does anyone know if this is pos...

totally agree, I can't see why this speed variation can't be mapped out (BTW I think it's EU noise restrictions).[/quote] My Bad! I just presumed it was the Germans. My brother lives in Germany and their laws are so restrictive. He has to put about 6 bins out on 'recycle day' and you can't park on t...

Totally agree with the armrest, feeling (for once) quite happy that I haven't got the allegro bottom steering wheel, the passenger kneecapper or the pie squasher seats. I have to say my biggest niggle is German noise restrictions, I love the valved exhaust but I want noise on or off, not off or on a...

Oh my god,,you guys are making me feel SO poor right now. There's an effing private jet in there and no ones batted an eye lid. I had to borrow against my little bungalow to get my RS4. If interest rates go up, the wife'll have to go back on the streets....Don't tell her I said that!

Re: RE: Re: Official response from Audi UK Re B8 RS4

RS4 will be B9 for sure. Not been in a B8 yet. I doubt you'll be impressed when you do. I've had a couple of loaners from the stealers and I was happily dissapointed. 'Happily' because I considered a B8 S4 before I bought the RS. Dash is a MUCH MUCH cheaper and uglier version of the A6 which I sold...

Even if the keys are in the ignition you can ensure that all doors are unlocked using the button on the drivers door, you can then open the boot using the button on the boot handle. That always works for me. The button on my door opens the tailgate and every door but the passengers which opens fine...
