Re: Problems fitting Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2

Thanks folks I will proceed with the order. Am I right in saying they would only rub on full lock anyway? If yes then I guess that can be avoided if there is an issue. I checked on the Audi Uk website on their tyre selector service and even that offers the Goodyear so I guess they are ok. Only diffe...

Problems fitting Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2

Hi After reading various comments on the forum I placed an order at the weekend with Black Circles for 4 of the above. I have just received a call from their customer service department saying that they had another client fit 4 of these last week and they were rubbing on the inside of the tyre due t...

Re: Avant Boot Liner Options?

Hi There I got the full hatchbag kit when I bought my RS4. I have a couple of dogs and it does a great job of protecting the boot compartment. Very good quality and fits perfectly. I would also recommend getting the tailgate add on. Its only a few quid more but means all sides of the compartment are...

Audi Driving Experiences

Hello All

Does anyone have any experience of the Audi Driving Experiences?

http://www.audi.co.uk/about-audi/audi-d ... ences.html

I know that there are probably better value driving days out there but the opportunity to drive an R8, RS5 and TTRS on one day is quite appealing.

RE: RNS-D to RNS E Install

Hi

Neckarsulm on the RS4 forum has recently done the single DIN to Double DIN RNS-E install on his RS4 so you may wish to look at his posts. If I recall correctly he documented it quite well.

RE: Re: RE: Are Audi Centre service advisors on a bonus sche

I don't think that Neckarsulm is alone in thinking that Birmingham Audi are crap. My purchase experience with them was exceptionally poor and they got a number of fundamental things completely wrong when organising the paperwork associated with the purchase. I raised my concerns with management but ...

So if the consensus is that the fronts wear slightly quicker than the rears, at what stage would you recommend swapping them over? Just checked mine and I have 5mm rear and just under 4mm at the front. Given this it would seem that I should be swapping them around soon. I know that 1.6 is the legal ...

Totally agree. There is a sensor for each wheel so it should not have been hard to change the alert to something wheel specific.

I wonder if there is further information logged in VAG-COM?

Tyre variants are AO - Audi only MO - Mercedes only x 2 Run flat and generic Apparently they all have slightly different compounds but same dimensions and ratings. As for ignoring TPMS warnings - guilty. Recently everytime the temperature has gone below 4 degrees I have been getting the red warning....

Sorry I should have said TMS is useless... in this scenario.

Would much prefer a space saver as it is guaranteed to get you mobile whether it be a puncture or blow out.

So just an update on my tyre drama... I was able to source a used (5mm remaining - non repaired) P Zero tyre on ebay from www.usedtyresales.com for £80 delivered (very good service). It is a perfect match spec and wear wise for the opposite tyre. The local tyre depot had a job getting what remained ...

Very helpful post Neckarsulm. Thanks for getting all the info together. If you don't have return to home breakdown cover then I would strongly advise getting the above. In fact for the hassle factor I had on Sunday I think a spare on the car should be mandatory. Just a shame it takes up load space a...

RE: Replacing one tyre

Thanks for that, looks like great idea. This would allow me to wear the Pirellis down over the next few months and change all four together in the New Year for something else.

Replacing one tyre

I had a rear blowout earlier today and now that the car is home I am left contemplating what to do about replacing the failed tyre. I currently have Pirelli P Zero Rossos all round with the following tread depths:- FR 4mm FL4mm RR 5mm RL in shreds Now if money was no object I would replace them all ...
