Re: B8 RS4 sport seats in B7 RS4?
Thanks guys. Yeah I figured it was a long shot. The B7 specific sport seats are plug and play in the North American RS, all is needed is a some coding to disable the airbag light triggered by the lack of them in these seats.

B8 RS4 sport seats in B7 RS4?
Question for you owners across the pond. Been looking for a set of what I believe you call the over there Recaro Sport seats or "buckets". We in the US only where given the Recaro Comforts. I found a few sets from the B8. Do you know if these will fit the B7??The seats looks almost identical , but I...

Re: My carbon is back :-(
What I've done is had the dealer manually clean the valves. I then prior to ever oil change use a induction cleaning kit from 3m. I'm hoping this will slow down the buildup process http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RX5J5kZLTw4&feature=player_embedded Wynns makes a similar product for you guys in the UK...

Re: DIY Carbon Cleaning, now we've started!!!
Nice writeup. Your buildup was similar to mine at 39k. To slow down the buildup I'm spraying 3m cleaner directly into the intake every 3k miles, then changing the oil. Going forward I'm having the engine manually cleaned every 20k miles. Pics of my carbon mess can be found below: http://www.allthing...

I recently purchased the Hankook Ventus v12. They came to 720- US shipped to my door. I find them almost as good as Michelin PS2s at roughly half the price.

Re: Low power output, B7 RS4
Do you allow you car to warm up to full temperature rather then just after the 7k limiter temp before using the full rev range? The cars with highest carbon content appear to be those that are left to stand for a while and they way they are run. Since yours is left over winter I wonder if that has ...

madgreek, what sort of driving do you do and what type of fuel do you use? Just wonder if there is a correlation between the conditioms you use it under and some of the others that have had the same problem. Re: Low power output, B7 RS4
Yuck! That doesn't look good at all. I'm sure you are going to notice the improvement when it's done. What's the story behind this. Did you Dyno the car? How did the dealer come to the conclusion that they needed cleaning. Hopefully you get some after shots too. I actually requested to have the val...

well if audi are to be believed, then strictly no other products than "Fuel additive for petrol engines, available under - Part No.: G 001 700.03" My dealer gave me this: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2798/4474528841_3cd1b4f15f.jpg I also occasionally use BG 44k, no sure if it's available over the...

We're going over old ground here - the Wynn's products were first mentioned on here a couple of years ago and a few of us tried them. I didn't find any difference between the before and after when using the Wynn's petrol additive and "a well known brand" of injector cleaner - same improvement in sm...

I have a mk3 golf cab. I use it in the winter so not to trash my RS6 with all the salt and pot holes and it keeps the mileage down . It works for me. I have an old 96 VR6 Passat Wagon. New England winters destroy cars over here. So I'm more than happy to destroy the Passat & not the RS4. Funny thin...

Mate, you really should consider a TTRS steering wheel; you don't lose functionality that way. I've changed mine as well because mine came with the circular wheel. I considered the TTRS one however, I prefer the Euro OEM as I have Aluminum interior trim which I think goes better with this wheel, I ...
