Re: Audi Independent Dealer

If you want somewhere outside the M25 for service and repairs, but not a million miles away, then can recommend Camspec in Crawley - the business has changed hands recently and the new owner has merged his existing business (DS Autowerks) into Camspec's premises. David is a thoroughly decent and hon...

Re: Can anyone consider RS6 C6 to be an investment grade car

There's another comically priced one come to market today - just shy of £41k. Yes, it's a Plus and it's not a horrid colour combo or poverty spec. Also MTM tuned. But 41k?! The one I looked at recently was originally priced at £40k - even when reduced to £34k it hung around.... My 2002 S8 I sold rec...

Re: Anyone know this RS6 Plus?

Yes but they will also be willing to offload it regardless of what it owes them as it's been sat around for so long. This maybe the opportune time to grab it for a decent price. I agree - may need to be prepared to sit it out for a few more weeks, or leave an 'here's my offer - ring me when it's en...

Re: Anyone know this RS6 Plus?

Thanks for the reply's, he is stuck on £34k when we were speaking on sat, I see it at 30k but aware it needs a service and plugs, I missed the dink in the door and other paintwork issues that was spotted by someone else. I picked up the tyres and a little tram-lining but was not sure if that was a ...

Re: Anyone know this RS6 Plus?

Bit of a thread revival ! Had a look at this today, paint looked ok they said its been polished but picked up the issues mentioned, tyres and the servicing, what I am confused about is the spec, the other add mentioned its de limited as well. Its on long life servicing , so how does that work out ?...

Re: RS6 C6 for sale - anyone know it?

I agree it is part of the standard spec (plus if Audi are saying it left the factory with it you'd like to think they'd be the best informed!) Is the button missing from the edge of the tailgate when it's open and what happens when you press the remote boot release for a few seconds? Worth checking ...

Not taken them long to get it listed - are there specific things for potential buyers to confirm have been resolved before parting with cash?

Re: What winter tyres do you have?

Our Dunlops were part worn when we got them - done 2 winters to date, including half one summer due to a lack of supply of MPSS tyres. Going back on tomorrow for one more season

Re: What winter tyres do you have?

The 'legal' limit for winter tyres in those countries that require them is usually 4mm - for winter tyre use in typical UK conditions you can run them lower than that without problems and still benefit from the better cold weather performance. For proper snow performance I completely agree that the ...

Re: Iso fix help

oh ok, I'm very surprised it's not there. My 2002 S8 had it as standard and every VAG car I've had later than that has had it too. When it was optional you usually got it alongside the option to disable the front passenger airbag with a key in the glovebox, before it became a requirement to be fitted.

Re: Start/Stop Button

I was the first owner, and it wasn't a cancelled order, it was from Audi UK's stock. Interesting - folklore suggests the Avants pretty much all came in 2008-09 irrespective of when they were registered, except for the Plus or any specific specs that couldn't be met from stock. The saloons seem to s...

Re: Iso fix help

They are there, but they're not obvious! I looked on the Plus I viewed recently and ended up not using them on test drive as I didn't want to damage the leather without some spreaders available. Audi sells guide funnels under part number 8R0 019 233A for £15 a pair before any discount - I would go f...
