My last set of P Zero rosso's only lasted 10,000 miles, so at that rate, you've had 20% of the wear rate.

Is this a straight swap, B7 RS4 to B6 S4 ???????????

I would say the B6 S4 is about as good as Audi's come, judging by what I read about the B7 RS4. Because the B6 S4 has no FSi, no DRC, no turbo's and no cambelts. All the things people seem to have problems with? As for performance around the Nurburgring, 8:29 --- 145.697 km/h -- Audi S4 4.2 Avant, 3...

I find it's a lot easier to drive smoothly if you miss gears out. Just use 1st 3rd and 5th or 2nd 4th and 6th. If you are giving it the beans, and need all the power, it tends to be smooth anyway.

How much are coil packs?

If I go into a dealer and buy one, how much will I pay?

They did with mine, it was done under warranty at 11,000 miles in 2005. The noise was very bad before, and none existent after. The car has still only done 29,000 but has never had the noise since.

RE: S4 B6/7 Towing

What cooling problems?

I would have more concern about the clutch if I was towing.

Re: RE: RS4 Engine...?

how much is the SC kit for the S4? Much more than a B6S4 is worth. Stage 3 AMD remap and a miltek is 390+ so it won't be million miles away. Around the ring a B6S4 Avant is less than 2 seconds a mile behind the B7 RS4 so if you're on public roads it's not going to matter anyway. You've only got to ...

It makes sense, as to why it has made such a difference to mine, and not others.

I'm not saying what Audi get the ECU to do, makes sense.

It has a significant effect on performance as it learns the habits over the last 40 miles of the driver and can cut up to 100bhp off the engine output... This makes a lot of sense to me. I have done a bit of plodding about, just lately, so it had probably gone into the slow mode, that's why it has ...

However, the only thing that seems to switch it from a fast car into a super car is the left foot braking trick. Please give it a try and let me know how you get on. When I read this, I was very sceptical, but having tried it a few times, bloody 'ell !!! it makes a hell of a difference, the car see...

New Battery

I've just put a new battery on my S4 and I'm suprised I haven't had to reset anything. I just disconnected the battery, changed it, connected up the new one and everything is fine. The radio/CD player didn't need codeing, the one touch windows, central locking, nothing. I've taken it out for a run, ...
