I did it on mine using VAGCOM using the process below. It basically removes it from the DIS menu altogether.

Re: Cant connect my Iphone4 to bluetooth-need help
I just did mine a bit earlier today. Don't believe it needs to be turned on - I went in the phone menu on the car and reset the bluetooth password. Turned bluetooth on the phone - pair device - it found the audi system - entered the 4 digit PIN I'd entered earlier and bravo it was working.

Most definately a good premium - I have 9 years NCD and 35 years old and pay around £750 on limited mileage (4K per year). I live in Manchester though...

Re: MOT Fail: Leaking shock absorber
I took mine into Audi due to leaking shock - parts came in at £1600 I believe plus fitting (think it was for 2x linked shocks). Car was just 2 weeks shy of 5 years old and wasn't FASH - but I mentioned the last Audi Service was 22 months before and only 20K miles - Audi honoured it under the goodwil...

my point is that because of immobilisers being so good I have two considerations (1) what's the point of having a tracker? it seems like the only thing they can prevent is the car being loaded away (2) this has made even less safe having a high value car, as thieves are more likely than in the past...

I got a set from Philip and have covered over 500 miles and can't notice any difference from stock. Certainly no squeel.

Re: RE: 07 AUDI RS4 4.2 V8 QUATTRO Daytona Grey Big Spec
Perhaps the previous owner put most of the miles on? bit disingenuous if that is the case, would describe my 18k 07 plate as hardly used but not a 55k milert The context was that it was hardly used (by him) as he had use of another car (his work one). Nice car gone for good money with the options a...

And if the cost is prohibitive to repair (TPS prices are a lot cheaper than Audi for these shocks) Out of interest PG do you know the rough cost for shocks through TPS? My car is over 5 years in May and I'm already putting aside money for the DRC (and Rads, Oil Cooler, Brakes, de-coke, tyre sensors...

Leon, is that Awesome in Manchester? I was in there a while back for a geo check on my S5. Great blokes. Fair prices also. He mentioned that they did skimming of breaks to get another cycle out them. Which at RS prices is worth doing. Forgot to ask him whether £118 (or something) was per disc or pe...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Stuck exhaust valve
No hoses are still on it just doesn't want to open for some reason I recently noticed both mine were stuck shut - it took quite a bit of force with a hammer and a long screwdriver to open them back up. I then sprayed the hinges quite liberally with lube. They closed back up again after a few days s...

RE: Re: Exhaust flaps & noise
The flaps stay closed at all times, S button on or off. At normal tickover rpm, even with a cold engine, the flaps should open when you press the Sport button and the exhaust noise will increase. If they donThanks - I'm going to lubricate them try tomorrow, next step trying the mod to keep them ope...

RE: Re: RE: Exhaust flaps & noise
I took it for a run first so the 7K limit was gone - engine oil was in the 70's. Flaps closed when idling with S button on/off. What is confusing is the car is noiser when driving about with the S button on. Its as though the flaps work at speed, but not at idle. Unless there is another reason for t...
