Thanks chaps

Just phoned Elephant, they quoted £650 fully comp, protected NCB, mods declared (Stage 1 tune), 3 points and £400 total excess.

That sounds pretty good to me. Now, I just need the car!

Quick update Phoned Direct Line for an insurance quote yesterday. They quoted around £850 for the year, with about £100 difference between standard and Stage 1 tuned. Thats a bit more than I used to pay for my M3 - didn't strike me as particularly good deal, but I've been with them for years and the...

I'll never do it, I'll pay someone to set it up to suit the car and that'll be it

I had a GSXR600 once with adjustable this and that, royally buggered that up before I realised I wasn't Valentino Rossi.

Quick update Saw another RS6; the dealer was honest enough the say that their health check showed the DRC was leaking at 2 corners - they are gonna bin it and put KW coilovers on it before someone buys it. Good thing? Rob at Camberley tells me that DRC is excellent when sorted - the key word here is...

Nice looking car - reminds me of Silverstone (BMW M colour); interior not my bag, but the world would be a dull place if we all wanted the same thing. Could they be S8 exhaust tips?

Thanks again Mo, plenty of food for thought there. Much appreciated. I had a chat with Rob from Camberley Audi today - what a very helpful chap - and he gave me some useful advice and pointers about cars and warranties. So, I'll be taking heed of that; they'll be getting my service business I think....

Interesting Mo. Have you had the need to use the warranty? There are scary stories on the net about Warranty 2000, but I guess those that have been slighted are always more vocal than those who have been served well. I just want to get it right and do right by the car; when I had my M3 I always rene...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Hi Gents - future RS

Update Nipped out at lunch to see a Daytona RS6 at a local-ish dealer. Nice car, looks to be in excellent condition - just a quick once over - and at a pretty good price. Does come with indy Warranty; I've just spend a few minutes doing some research on the warranty provider. Christ! Scared myself ...
