Re: What was that car?

I have had a 535d and 335d touring, both chipped. The 335d did go well with very strong mid range BUT they were as dull as dish water com paired to my RS4 and would spin the wheels at 70 in the wet when you kicked down. I know which one I would prefer any day :-) Jon P.S My 1988 Defender with a tune...

Re: Tow Bar....Help!

Glad to see other folk have gone and fitted tow bars. I thing the link of my work was posted at the beginning of this thread. Nice to see a different approach to my hacking a lump out of the rear bumper. I've done three trips to the alps now, fully loaded with 3 bikes and blokes - great way to trave...

Re: Clutch Return - my updates!

Hi Guys This happened to my RS4 at about 33,000 miles. If i did some spirited driving, when changing down the pedal would stay down for 1 to 2 seconds. It only did it if driven hard and only on changing down. First off the garage changed the pipe, but it still did it. The garage could not replicate ...

I stuck a A4 removable tow bar to carry my collection of MTB's around. Stops getting mud on the roof from a roof rack, and does not scratch the back from strap on racks. I can happily sling 3 Nomad sized bikes on the back and sprint to the alps along with a boot full of stuff. When I take off the to...

RE: Fuel

I did Verbier last July for a spot of mountain biking. Averaged 21 mpg (cruising 85-90) and spent £255.46 on fill ups for BOTH ways. Do not forget tolls, which cost £86.32 again for Both ways.

Would of been cheaper flying - but the drive up into the mountains was worth the extra money !!

Just fitted a towbar

Hi Guys Got fed up with bikes on roof making a noise or in the car making it dirty. Took the plunge and fitted a towbar for an A4 Avant. It is illegal for me to tow as the RS4 is not type approved. It is legal for me to use a towbar for a bike rack. As to the issue of a gear box over heating, there ...
