What gear were you in while he was reeling you in? Bottom of 4th is too long and it lays down - 5th is stupid long. The car really needed a 6 speed spread, the ZF 6HP26A was available then but it was probably a package too big for the C5. Interesting that you're modifying the log manis, those thing...

My only failures in two years has been a box (88k) and a cv joint. Everything else I've replaced has been upgrades or routine/preventative maintainance. I've done nearly 15,000 miles and the smiles are bigger than the bills

What mods and power are you running dave? I'd like to plan ahead for my next failure and want to avoid conversion to manual
