If it is not rubbing against the "knobby", what is it then? I have same with 245 wide Kumhos... (OK, I know, but they were dirt cheap! )

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Anyone fitted one of these exhausts?

I'd be interested in any specs of an exhaust system anyone might have as I know a place that makes custom exhausts near me who are very good. (I want a loud rumble like in the attached clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kF1SYiPGs2k ) Holy S**t  What is that exhaust? With the flap open it se...

Re: RE: MAF

Otherwise, take it to MRC and get them to turn off the secondary air system :) It's only there to reduce cold start emissions, and let's be honest, when you buy an RS6 you kinda throw environmental caution to the wind! Hmm... How would one go about doing that.... Sounds interesting. Less "used air"...

Yes, they are dirt cheap and should be changed. PoRToS, they'll use the same springs. Nothing wrong with them. Hopefully they'll do a good job for you. Hmm. Only a thought - don't the springs get old & tired too? If they use the same springs. Since my RS6 is 110k Miles and 7 years old... Or does th...

Hi all, Thought of taking this old thread up, since my RS6 is going for a DRC total repair in January. It is paid by Audi 2 year parts warranty, since the DRC was last changed 04 2008.... *sigh* I have a couple of questions, 1) What else should I have changed at the same time, the top mounts discuss...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Alternator, charging problems.

Seems a standard thing that the alternator goes around the 80000 mile/6 year bracket. Had mine done at Audi £700 + 2 year warranty. If its been replaced previous maybe the 2 years isnt up yet and you can get Audi to sort it for free. The american forum just had a thread about replacing the alternat...

Re: RE: A couple of Fuel Questions

Mine also has fuel gremlins. After you fill up, does it take a lot time for the fuel guage needle to start descending? The manual says only to use 95 octane if there's no choice and not to use full throttle with it. You get more power / litre (so better economy) with the 99, so the extra distance w...

But you did make a decision - not to get it mapped. Wrong decision IMHO!!

yup
After reading Quisha's comments on the American forum about the longevity of the transmission when chipped, I'd say you made the right decision!

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Car feels slow... Oh no,

They were all about 25-30 quid each. Got them from Audi. DVs were very easy to change. Bit fidly to get the hose clamb on the lower hose, but nothing impossible. For the N75 yo uneed to rmeove the airbox (see my DIY plug change topic). Damn. Should have had this education before I had the car servi...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Car feels slow... Oh no, it *is*

I'm pretty sure there's nothing wrong with the N75 or the DVs, but they are so cheap it's rude not to really. Hi! If I may inquire, what is "cheap" actually. If have thought also of changing the N75 and the DV's on mine. Since I believe they are original and the car has done quite a lot of kilomete...

Its easy just undo the 2 screws on the sides and pull upwards the hole panal then it will come loose i done it to mine. Bobby Is it the same for the back panels? One of the windows in the back does not want to come back up... Nothing I normally bother about, but if it is that easy, might even take ...

How about the brakes? If a brake caliber (or one piston in the caliber) freezes on just a bit, creating an uneven force against the brake disc, thus creating a wobble.

And after a bit of use the calibers get up to "working temp" and the little freeze is gone and *tsadam* no wobble!

Weird. I've got my iPhone playing through the RNS-D and it's fine. What is the aftermarket kit and how did you fit it? It's the one from Audi. And I fitted it by changing the leads in the connector according to the instructions that came with the adaptor. But it cannot be the adaptor, since I had t...

No bass when playing cd-changer (i-pod adapter) in RNS-D

Hi everyone! I'm what you might call a long time lurker - started reading the forum about a year ago and have driven a -03 RS6 for 8 months now. 8) Bought the car using the tips from the forum :P Have had the odd problems with it, but most of them solved with a little reading the forums and the net....
