Haha, I guess 'peace of mind' doesn't belong in the same sentence as 'tuning', but then again, neither does 'warranty'. I don't expect PES to offer a warranty either. Funny side note though, I had my supplier call MTM and ask them if they've addressed the issue of gunked up valves/inlet tract, and t...

The PES looks interesting, especially for the price, but it's not in production yet, and they don't mention anything about being RS4 specific. The MTM kit is about 30% hp increase, plus it includes their exhaust system, flywheel and stronger clutch. And they've been road testing their model for a lo...

RE: Hotchkis Roll Bar - Check the bolts!

Yikes, that's rough.

Did you use loctite red or blue?
How long did you wait before driving the car?

You don't need that ugly hood they had on the MTM Clubsport. MTM themselves says you can get away with cutting away some of the insulation on the stock hood.

That's what I was confused about. Most European automakers list their numbers as BHP, but the official definition of BHP is the engine WITHOUT accessories. Then comes SAE, which is WITH accessories, and then comes drive wheel(s) HP. Unless you mean British HP, instead of Brake HP, in which case my p...

Sure thing. The tech and shop are on standby, so if anyone knows a place in Quebec that has a dyno, let me know :D

Just seems odd to me. Some people are claiming around 380hp, which is off if it's BHP figure but sounds right for its SAE figure. And those claiming around 310hp right on the mark for the Wheel HP figures. The most common dynos in my area are the Dynajet and Mustang dynos. They both calculate tranny...

Interesting. I'm not familiar with Dyno Dynamics, I don't think I've ever seen them in North America.

Do they show AWD Horsepower?
Or do they adjust for drivetrain loss and show SAE figures?

I didn't know a dyno could compensate for BHP numbers.

RE: Certified dyno graph:

Hmm, I don't see it saying WHP on there.
Do you know where this dyno was done??
NA or UK ?

RE: Certified dyno graph:

The RS4 has about 20-25% drivetrain loss, so adding 20%, that would be exactly 414 SAE HP.
That picture isnt very big though, I can't make out the numbers on the graph.

Any idea of mods?
Or the type of dyno used?

The distributor here in Canada quoted me $57k CDN for the kit (around 32k GBP), plus another $9k for the install. I did a bit of research and it seemed everyone had nothing but good things to say about it, but none of those testimonials were from actual owners. It's natural to expect increased wear ...

My RS4 currently has the aluminum trim, but I'll be ordering the carbon trim soon.
