Sorry for late reply gord. Been absolutely loving the new addition, which I picked up Friday lunchtime. It does sound like it has a small jet engine under the bonnet when the air-con's on, though. Anyone got any tips on what that might be? It's quiet in "Econ" mode. Is the DLO/Kufatec solution easy ...

Excuse my naivity, but why do you need the DLO and the Kufatec? The advert I'm reading on Amazon makes out that you just need the DLO to plug into the CD changer port. Where is that on the RS6? Boot or behind the radio? Just put down a deposit for a black 2003 RS6 saloon yesterday... Thanks again to...

Has anyone got a copy? I've been looking for one, but can't find it anywhere. Could someone send a pdf or something?

Cheers to all for the feedback. MOR8A, I dropped the same question to the RS6 forum and you'd be very interested in the replies. Very helpful, including some from guys who've had both motors. Long and short is everyone seems to say that it costs a darn fortune, but it's worth it!! Of course I share ...

Gents, just a note to say many thanks for the above - response is very much appreciated and very helpful. I'll be looking out on Autotrader and driving a couple of both in the next couple of weeks. Will certainly keep you posted which way I fall, and then how my bank account looks in subsequent mont...

RE: Re: RE: RS6 vs S4

Gents, many thanks for those contributions. Speedy replies really much appreciated. I suppose I'm interested whether the RS6 is superior enough to be worth the extra running costs. Read a couple of posts on RS246 about the S4 feeling "more sporty", and I prefer the size of the S4 - just feel like it...

S4 vs RS6

Currently have an S3, but need something that'll fit a kid or two in the back comfortably and is a good deal quicker. I've narrowed it down to these two, and have to admit I've wanted an RS6 ever since they were launched, but a little concerned about all the stories of DRC and huge maintenance costs...
