Thanks chaps. Spoke to the garage selling the car. It hasn't had the DRC done but said he will give it 3 months warranty. There is a Sprint Blue Avant at the car dealer at Sandbanks that has been there a few months - haven't looked at it but maybe worth a look if you like the colour ? So did you buy it then? :P Makes the one I saw last week sound good. So what's the reg so others can avoid it? so it needs 2 EGTs - always thought the RS4 had one, S4 had two :? I bet it didn't go well with a duff EGT. If that other bloke wasn't such a tw@t i'd make an offer..... back to square 1.....
