Re: Fitted new TPMS - TX-S001 Direct Fit TPMS Sensor
Made some progress on the TPMS sensors. I made a concerted effort with the vagcom to figure out what was going on. I was getting a reading from a couple of sensors but not the new one, or so I thought. In the measuring blocks you can go through the positions and see what the sensors are reading (if ...

Re: No drive/no codes
First thing to check is the ATF level and make sure the strainer isn’t blocked or cracked. Then I guess it could be a major mechanical failure like torque converter or ATF pump. The latter can easily be damaged if care isn’t taken when remounting the box.

Ill have a look on mine later to see if I can find an output test.

Yeah, I've got 3 spares ones now.
The cable length was fine though.

Re: Cleaning a F125 switch
The RS6 has the rectangular connector with the rounded end, not the circular connector. Maybe check your plug again?

Re: Fitted new TPMS - TX-S001 Direct Fit TPMS Sensor
I replaced the failed HUF sensor with one of these, but I can't get it to communicate at all. It's pissing me off. Last time I replaced all the OE sensors with HUF ones and I didn't have to do anything to get them to work. So either these sensors are junk or I need a TPMS tool to "wake them up" so t...

Re: Does anyone know how to activate auxiliary water pump with VCDS?
If you can do it, then it will be with the output tests on the ECU module with VCDS. I can't remember off-hand whether it's one of the outputs that's activated. I can check later, possibly.

Re: 18155 - transmission solenoid power relay
Good info. I'll be interested to see where the TCU is measuring the voltage, too.
As for the water ingress, the Audi engineers should hang their heads in shame at the pitiful lip-service to weatherproofing.

It is a lifetime fluid. It’s just that Audi’s definition of lifetime is “old enough to be outside of warranty”.

Re: Looking at buying a 2003 RS6 - a couple questions
But Audi procedures don’t even call for changing the water pump when doing the timing belt.

Re: 18155 - transmission solenoid power relay
It's such a crap system. I saw on a different A6 platform car of the same era that it has a more secure cover on the pollen filter. Who knows why they didn't use the same on the RS6. It's a terrible design and can easily let water in from the windscreen run-off directly into the middle of the pollen...

Re: HVAC unit
What makes you think this fan is internal to the climatronic unit? I'm not convinced it is.
/Looks like it probably is. I can't find a separate fan in the parts catalogue.

Re: 18155 - transmission solenoid power relay
It was the T17m connector I was trying to identify , do I just follow the TCU lom to under the dash? Yeah, I think it goes up the A-pillar, so remove that bit of trim and you should see a bunch of connectors. It's a blue one. I have seen the two black wires going to pins 55+54 , they are joined tog...

Re: Power steering questions…
No, I don't think so. There aren't any variants in the parts catalogue, just lhd and rhd. The S6 had it, as did lots of other C5 platform cars. Maybe that's where the confusion is coming from.
