Hi,

Have been given a Stealer quote of £500+ to replace both rear springs, which sounds extortionate. Standard S4 spec car.

Could anyone please advise on what I should be paying, and also what would be the pro's and con's of upgrading to a specialist setup such as H&R.

Took my S4 in for service to the stealers about 3 wks ago. Just noticed the engine oil level on the dipstick is almost twice the level it should be. What are the implications of this? Have read elsewhere that it could have a detrimental effect on turbo's and CAT... Do I need to drain some? Cheers.

Got a quote from Audi Coventry of £1060 for full inspection service, cambelt and tensioner but no water pump. Car's done 74k only but they said cambelt needs replacing at 80k miles or after 4 years, whichever comes first.

Sounds a bit steep... will look at alternative options.

So this isn't the only country where it's an essential prerequisite to be completely thick to become a copper.

38 and an RS4 wannabee. Would be but for the missus.

and likely when ATP release their eliminator range of bolt on turbos for the S4, there'll maybe be a stage4+/stage5 option ranging to ~600bhp

Jeez...Presume these will come with bolt-on wings and a tail fin?

Spotted a classy looking RS avant this morning at the dealers in Birmingham. Had private plates with the above motif etched underneath.

This is an old S4 ad filmed in New Zealand. When they finished filming, the editor noticed something moving along the side of the car, like a white mist. They later found that a person had been killed in that exact same spot and the ad was never put on TV. Watch the front end of the car as it clears...

Surely it's up to the dealer as to whether you get a loan car. Never had any problems getting a replacement car from Listers in Coventry, even at short notice. It's their pool that it comes from so I don't see why Audi UK should refuse.

Stan, what did you get for your £1300? Sounds steep that. Is it full cover or named parts on a 99yr model?

I think 400 quid a year for virtually eliminating the risk of major maintenance cost is a reasonable outlay. What I particularly liked about this was that Listers will manage/administer the claim themselves. On past experience I'm not very efficient at paying up front and then claiming off the warra...
