Whilst I understand everything that's been said here two things occur to me. 1) If someone fitted tyres to my car that rubbed I'd be back there immediately, I wouldnt have even gone home! 2) Just because you ordered that particular make and size doesnt matter, your tyre place has a responsibility to...

Was talking to a tyre fitter after laser wheel alignment and he said they angle the front tyres inwards by about 10 degrees as a matter of course which may account for the fronts on most getting worn on the inside. james 10 degrees? Are you sure? That sounds like an awful lot! But you're right in t...

A point that might be beneficial to raise might be this; that whilst you understand that Audi Europe are still hanging on to their misguided "We know nothing of this" response they should be aware that ANY suspension shortcoming has a drastic effect on braking distances. Faulty or worn dampers have ...

RE: Best not to look
Its funny how if you mention you have an "interesting" car someone always asks what mpg do you get?? They always look at me strangely when i say I have no idea!! GardinerG, I'm pretty sure that once your battery light goes out on the dash then your alternator is charging. At tick over, is your light...

Jeez if I had a wheel wonky enough to need weights on the outside edge as well I'd be searching for a new one!!! Just considering for a moment the stresses put through your wheels with a couple of tonnes of your finest VDT on top of them and I dont think running with a knowingly out of true one is a...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: rs6 costs
It's always the same when prices get to a certain level on any high performance car. Some clueless tool buys it because it's "only £15k" and then cries because it still has the servicing costs for a car 4 times the price!! I despair I really do! But as for anything else, the RS6 is still a big old b...

I have a couple of things to say. Firstly good luck! I have just started looking at RS6's to replace my M3 because my better half thinks that another Mini Me would be a good idea. I have to say that I am utterly appalled at the number of reported DRC failures I have read about, and disgusted at Audi...

Not wishing to be a nay sayer, but you guys do realise the peril in trying to compare different cars, on different rolling roads, on different days dont you? Your best bet is either have yours looked at by someone who knows the cars, or to try a car of a known healthy output to see if it feels consi...

Thanks for the advice so far! So there was an aftermarket additional rear made!! The reason I asked was I had a feeling that when I started looking I saw an ad that said 7 seats! Obviously I kind of assumed it was an Audi extra, but I might see what I can find out. At the moment I am looking for one...
