Don't mean to appear frenzied ref oil prices, just considering the options. Ref placement of the LPG tank, that was a cause for concern for me also, I bought an Avant for a reason (well, 2 reasons really, firstly because I needed the space and secondly because real RSs are all Avants - but everybody...

The resale value depreciation point is a good one, been looking at that from 2 perspectives: 1. We're on the cusp of a step change with regards to fuel prices and fossil fuels in general, and alternative fuels/technologies are very much in the ascendant, so resale prices on cars like ours are only g...

LPG Conversions
All, Before I launch into this one, I should point-out that I'm not Russian, and I don't like M3s. So here goes.... Has anyone looked into LPG conversions for Audis in general and RS4s in particular? I understand that this will be anathema to most if not all of you/us, and that you/we bought the car...

At the risk of repeating whats already been alluded to: Importing a car to NI from the Mainland is a lovely way of wiping its history. I lived in NI until last year, I had bought a B5 on the Mainland, but as you will appreciate, when it came time to re-tax it, it was a case of either sending all the...

ECU SW confusion, advice sought
All, Looking for some advice. Recently acquired a 56 plate Avant having PX'd my B5. Very pleased with the result. However, not entirely convinced the garage knew quite what they were on with reference to ECU SW. I have read my way through all the ECU related threads I can find, but remain confused (...

Car is in good nick. Slight scratches on bonnet, (polishable outable?) one or two stone chips. Alloys (all hard) a bit scuffed in places but nothing dramatic (Fontains may recondition?) Does smell a little of somebodyelse's cigarettes though, and paint worn-off lighter would seem to indicate a heavy...

Fontain's vs mainstraem stealers
Looking at changing my B5 for a B7 Avant, been floating round here fairly regularly for a year, so fairly familiar with issues surrounding both models, incl most recent impact of fuel costs etc....Poole Audi have a car I'm interested in, as do Fontain's (both black Avants). Is anyone aware of any is...
