BUMP! 1999 S4 price now £10,000

I've reluctantly decided to sell my 1999 S4 due to a longer commute looming in the new year. It is unmodified with main dealer service history , has covered 80k miles now and is in good condition. Last service was 2k ago and it has had the belt done also. As well as the standard S4 features of xenon...

Well , I finally got the car back , having had the exhaust gas sensor replaced. I reckoned it felt quicker , the S4 torque low down was always there but it felt much quicker higher up the rev range so we timed it. Previous 0-60 -- 6.5s Now 0-60 5.2s Previous 30-70 -- 6.5s Now 30-70 5.1s I am well pl...

Further update - Left the car into the local stealers , all excited at the prospect of getting it back to full power! Halfway thru the morning I got a phone call - the stealers had ordered the wrong part (they said...) so a wasted trip and an underperforming S4 was returned to me. It is now booked i...

Well , had the car in the local stealers today and the diagnostics showed a fault with a 'gas sensor' in the exhaust which they believe to be the cause of the diminished performance. It will cost £350 inc vat and fitting apparently. I'm relived it's not the turbos although I'll not know for definite...

Thanks for the advice. I start the test by planting it in second at about 20mph , starting the clock as the speedo passes 30 mph and changing up to third at 5k rpm (tried changing at 6k rpm but no quicker) , so the lag isn't included. This is the same method I used for the S3 also. I took the Corrad...

Newbie advice please!

Hi , I am new to rs246 and was wondering if anyone could help with this?- I have a 1999 S4 which has not been modified. It has covered 77k miles and has FASH to date. The problem is performance , I timed it 30-70 mph and after several runs it was not able to beat 6.5 seconds. My previous car (a 210b...
