My experience is the same as ghoonk's although only up to 165mph...but I hazard a guess my run in was with a Gen 1 C2S? However, I think what chemcial-ali is saying is that the new Gen 2 C2S with the PDK (385hp?) is quicker than the RS4 in a drag which would make sense considering its bhp:kg ratio....

Had a run with a 997CS three weeks back on a clear open road (late night). Good weather conditions, dry, and the RS4 was able to close in on the CS in every gear, and started passing the CS from 270 km/h, and he gave up at around 290 km/h. Stock car, except for a Revo reflash off the shelf to remove...

RE: "Customised installation of quattro"
All B7 RS4s come with quattro off the factory floor. It's a standard feature, not an option.

The jh motorsports ones are quite a steal :) . You could go big brake kit with the following options: alcons at 370 mm (arround 3500 usd) , brembo discs and brackets 2000 euro, brembo 6pot calipers an discs (lots of $$$) or movit ceramic carbon for 16000 euro (thats right) . Rear discs are going to...

Given that it almost never rains where I live, and the fact that law enforcement has put up fixed radars every 500m or less on the main highway, and sprinkled mobile cameras all over the city and suburbs, the cab makes an attractive proposition since I enjoy the AWD grip of quattro with the high-rev...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: what temp does your oil get up to?
Good to see this thread -- I sleep a lot better at night now. I came from a Mitsu Evo 8MR and used to run oil temps at 90C on normal driving, 130C on track. In the RS4, I'm at 99C on normal driving, 110C on spirited driving (ambient temp is around 40C here in Dubai at the moment) and was a little wo...

Brake rotors -- recommendations?
Just spoke to my specialist garage service guy and he's confirmed that my front and rear brake rotors are going to be due for replacement in another 20,000 km or so. I just got quoted GBP1660 for all 4 rotors -- if this too much to pay? What sort of prices are you guys getting in the UK? If any of y...

So, a good idea then -- does anyone know if the clutch position is adjustable?
