That part number seems to be listed as a North American RNSE.......is there any difference in the operation or wiring from the Euro version?

Do you happen know if this will fit in a 2004 B6 S4? I have RNSE installed but it won't read the Nav DVD currently and if these items were mechanically identical, installation of your unit after swapping in my screen might see me right.

I'd be interested in the grills & chrome surrounds if they are still available. I had a slight mishap with a sleeper so the lower is cracked!! Can send a picture to prove genuine and I am not going to ebay them !!

Cam, I think you should be setting your sights on a slightly dog eared B6 S4 :) !! I might need to liquidate some assets to pay the Ex £horrendousamounts......but I am not doing a part ex with the cloth interior :D !! Or buy that blue one a little further up your road.....he keeps driving up my road...

OK...we are getting somewhere. Recently have had trouble starting the car.....just a horrible grinding noise and no engine fire. On 5/6 attempt the engine will fire and shows no signs of misbehaviour neither does gearbox. Apparently the clutch plate is not engaging with starter motor. one, or both h...

Whoever keeps driving up my road in a blue RS6 in Hove at about 6.45 am every day to cut out the lights....can you go the other way......my sash windows are rattling !!!

Update....Auto Box Specialist had the car for a day. Noise came and went intermittently and they could not track it down. His suspicion was that it is not gearbox as the noise would be consistent. Car drives fine. 200 miles to Birmingham later today (imagine how acute my hearing is going to be :shoc...

Crumbs....just found archive discussion on srs where Grizz states no quattro system should be tested on a two wheel RBT.......but can't post the link. Think the garage will be getting a visit.

Took it in auto box specialist on wednesday and he was stumped....all gears engage correctly and everything runs fine.......but he could hear the noise, so booked in for today for an investigation. Booked into an Auto gearbox specialist this pm. They did an A8 g/box for £1400...full rebuild and warranty. Did say that being put on a rolling road may have something to do with it!!

Here is the next installment..... Audi removed the sump cover, drained the oil, changed the filter and refilled with oil. £260+VAT.The noise remains and they are convinced it is coming from the gearbox. Next steps..... £1400+VAT to drop he box out and see if it is the "clutch pack" whatever that is ...
