Looking for an S4

Now she has got bored of the Skyline and wants something with similar performance but a bit more practiality. so we are looking at S4's and VR4's what do I need to look out for on the S4 common failure poin...

Re: How old????
Not a massive fan of the subarus, so for me it would be Skyline, evo Supra. Suprising the comment about the GTS seeming gutless after the GTR most owners who go from the GTS to GTR complain that they have to work the GTR harder to get it going - but that generally is down to the boost comming on muc...

Re: How old????
The GTS is a pile of pants. Not as tuneable, and just generally a big poofter trading on the GT-R's name! GT-R's a just a bit too Playstation for me. Loads of gadgets and gizmos telling you about lateral G-forces and all sorts of interesting but totally pointless information. The R34 is also imposs...

Not been here for a long time since selling my A4 - been to busy playing with Skylines but I've just had a friend call me to tell me about a Noggy Blue RS4 that went through the Auctions on the weekend with a spec list that immediatly made me think of Andiroo - ...

Re: SOLD
I was expecting it to take a couple of weeks or more - I thought I had priced it high (it was in at £5800) to get the price I wanted. still it's sunk in now and I can't wait to get my hands on the skyline - in fact I have already brought my first mod for it Blit...

SOLD
well it went in Autotrader today and the first caller drover down from shefield and offered me £5500 so I said yes. I can't belive it's gone so quickly he didn't even want to drive it! The worst thing is that after G-force and the new turbo pipe (and a reset o...

Re: heat affect on.........
having had a look at the piping between the intercoolers/throttleb body and the turbo and the relation of this to the diverter valve, all the diverter valve seems to be doing is releasing back pressure into the intake system - This presumably is to prevent the turbos from being stalled - so the amou...

Re: heat affect on.........
thinking about it logically air is only being diverted during gear changes - ie not for very long and not very often (in normal driving) so although it *will* have an effect I would think it would only be a tiny one.

Re: heat affect on.........
Andiroo, with the diverter valve air is actually dumped back into the intake side of the turbo so is compressed again, this then gives the possibility that it is hotter than the ambient temp of external air being drawn in through the intake system. Clive - no my car is not chipped - sorry I should h...
