Hi Guys,

Quick question, how serious is black smoke when on full boost? I had planned to take the the old girl to MRC for a bit of an overhaul, but this is worrying me, there is also a loud ticking noise from the very front of the engine... any ideas?

My pet hate also, i was not in the middle lane i was in the left lane as the motorway split... smart arse ha ha

Coming home from work last night, I had a run in with a new shape A4 (de badged) he came hammering up behind me then under took me, we then both turned off the motorway on to a dual carridgeway (a lovely stright bit of road to open the old girl up),anyway, we got up to some interesting speeds... i w...

Just an update...

The exhaust is on, and i'm well happy with it, tbf it does drone somewhat between 2-3000 rpm, the performance is a load better... all in all £400 well spent.

Not bad at all, my mechanic mate told me i was being a wanker for even asking the question, so that puts me in my place.

Can any one shed any light on the impact of a dent in the exhaust on performance??? I supposed to be fitting it tonight but I don't want to if it is going to cause issues.

I have just unwrapped the exhaust, there are two dents in a couple of the pipes, nothing major...but will this effect performance???

Just took delivery of my new Scorpion cat back system and I'm planning on fitting at my mate garage on monday, does anyone have any tips??? Also going to gut the pre cats, any advice on that also.

I have decided to go for a scorpion cat back, basically i got it for a song!!! £400!!! also it is a full twin pipe system the same as the milltek so i imagine they perform similarly.
