How do the Koni's compare to the OEM? SSRS4 I changed from OEM standard dampers to Koni's because I wanted to keep the comfortable, compliant ride, but without the poor body control, po-go-ing effect you can get with standard. Koni's are perfect for those who want a firmer ride, but with the OEM co...

Vredestein tyres

Hope you don't mind me commenting on this B7 thread as B5 owner, but I've had two full sets of Sessanta's now. Personally I found them very grippy in the dry and outstanding in the wet. Definitely the quietest I've ever had on a low profile, PZeros being worst, PS2's pretty good. Also Sessantas keep...

Any RS4 owners in Bordeaux?

Folks, my RS4 now lives near Bordeaux, France. I've tried the local stealer for a minor job, not particularly impressed. Would like feedback if anyone has had work done there or can recommend a good independent. For performance stuff, I'll always return to MRC, but for routine stuff, cambelt change,...

Lowrider, what sizes are your wheels; did you have to fit spacers and how does quality compare to the originals, which I think are BBS?

Re: 4 New tyres required - Recommendations please?

I'm running Vredestein Sessantas on my RS4, which were a surprise 2nd place in evo. Very impressive replacement for my PS2's. Noticeably the quietest tyre I've ever run. Excellent dry grip, even better in the wet. Only -ve is feeling of slight straight ahead vagueness, but this could be because my d...

That time has come again for me. I've got PS2's and I think they have been absolutely brilliant on the RS4. So good that I'm switching to them from the OEM specified Pirellis (which I absolutely hate), on my Maranello. What I found with the Pirellis is that once 2-3mm have worn off, they lose most o...

Paul Many thanks for this comprehensive feedback and offer of a test ride. I'll probably go for this set up on your recommendation, as you've described exactly what I'm looking for. Less float in long fast bends down to South of France, but still retaining ride comfort, which tends to be lost with t...

Re: RE: dampers

I've got the Koni dampers with stock springs, plus the H&R roll bars. When I was looking to upgrade, I wanted something to sharpen up the handling, but still keep some ride comfort. (I had H&R's on my S4, and found that they were too firm for me) The Konis will make the ride firmer than stock, but ...

Golich, thanks for your feedback. I did find it concerning that the dealer was unable to see any issue with my stock brakes, particularly as brake-fade after just one hard stop on the road, was scarily obvious. As I am not a great fan of Audi approved main dealers, I had thought this amounted almost...

Correction: have just re-read your posting. I have a kind of cream or caramel coloured interior leather, not silver as I've noticed on yours. But still beautiful.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Got the motor on Saturday

Norrs, I've got the exact same spec and exterior / interior colours - yours is the first other one I've seen. I was told 1 of 2, by the main dealer I bought mine from. Is our Santorini blue an actual standard Audi colour? I absolutely love mine as well. According to evo issue 100 the RS4 is an all t...

Its taken me ages, but I finally took the plunge, took my RS4 to MRC for an RS6 8 pot calliper/disks brake upgrade, MRC Stage 1, H&R ARB's and new MAF. What a transformation !! Will post pics as soon as I can figure out how.
