Carpy you clearly are a stickler for perfection since you've been looking to get a second hand S4 for what, for ever?!

As rik says Vagparts will sort it.

Bootlid lock looks same as my facelift car, in fact everything looks facelift. Seems too cheap to me though My facelift doesn't have the bootlid lock - thought this was only prefacelift and the transitional cars. Maybe for cars without remote locking? Interesting that it is Cat D, but no duty to te...

Surely the value of your car is whatever people will pay for it? There is no inherent value to these things, linked to the original purchase price. Depreciation is a fact that follows the markets and trends. I've always gone by the theory that you can never guarantee or rely on any car's value! Be p...

Aero wipers

Just a recommendation for the VAG Parts Aero Wiper kit - fits v.v. easily and no more juddering wipers when "at speed". Looks better too.

Useful for these wet times!

I'd say it was worth 9500 - high spec and low mileage and standard. The standard cars seem to go for more than the modified ones.

Up to you if you want to take the risk or not really, doesn't sound like he is going to give you the reg! Slightly unusual that the cam belt has been done at 43,000 maybe? Wouldn't expect a car of that mileage to have had it done. My 63,000 car is on the original belt and Audi reckons changing at 75...

RE: Lovely S4 for sale - thinking of buying

I'd be a little worried - seller based 250 miles away from the car? All about the HPI check I think. Otherwise, if you have found a genuine 43,000 mile car then go for it! The lowest mileage one I have seen was a genuine 58,000 miles, and I bought it... PS the leather on these cars tends to look qui...

[quote="Tartan_Rob"]In fairness, it is so simple, if you can't identify it - dare I say...you shouldn't be doing it?
