Hmmm. I wouldn't say it was override. Yes it changes gear when you flip thepaddle but if you then don't touch the paddles it goes back to sport. Yes you are right, but it takes much longer to revert back to sport mode. Was looking at getting the gearbox map done myself, would like to try one thats ...

You can override the gear selection when in S using the paddles??? I didn't know that!! Does it work in D too? Thanks. When trying the different shift modes in my S4, it seems that the throttle response in S mode seems much quicker than when using the paddle shifters. Is this the case or is it just that S mode is more aggressive when changing down? Normal tip mode will automatically change up at 6500rpm, also throt...

Had a MkV R32 previously and I find the the S4 Avant I have now to be appreciably faster, especially on overtaking.
