Yeah its to do with start-up emissions. Just get MRC to disconnect it.

It will be the secondary airpump. Mine did the same.

Yes they are. Let the carb cleaner soak for 1/2 hour before starting the engine.

Have you tried spraying some carb cleaner into the throttle body?

My throttle body has finally given up.

Q.Would a failing throttle body cause a puff of smoke after a spirited launch?

I had this problem. I changed the suspension then had the car realigned. Expensive but worth it!

36. Bought the car when i was 34, although keeping an RS4 in good order makes you feel 10 years older!!!

Sounds as though you've made the correct choice! I experienced a similar situation and didn't walk away – has cost me dearly!!!

TBH I truly believe you get what you pay for – esp with an RS4.
