Suspension knocking - no idea, sorry. But on the discs issue, it could be warped discs as you say, if they have got really hot over and over again. But also, if he car has been standing in the damp conditions for a while, maybe, just maybe , the pads have rusted to the discs. When you 1st drive away...

I had a 911(997) Carerra 2 s. The Porsche is a lot more responsive than the \rs4, and is lighter of course, but doing 25,000 miles a year in a 911 is just too much.

But the RS4 has got so much more torque, and sounds fantastic. The V8 is just superb compared to the flat 6.
