If you're after a red one - the engine in this one has only done 1000 miles, and it has new brakes all round, and never suffered any DRC issues. Also has a new drivers seat which can start to look tatty after 3 years. The Audi warranty is no longer available but it can come with a warranty if needed...

Chelsea Tractors on an RS board - whatever is the world coming to :?:
You clearly don't know your land rovers - you rarely see a td5 defender for the school run - the rear seats face sideways so you have to be over 12..

Never thought we'd be discussing land rovers on here... It's a Td5 which are ultimately more tuneable than the new Puma. Its only been chipped and had a straight thru exhaust, but have plans for an IRB intecooler and new VVTurbo. It's the ULTIMATE wolf in sheeps clothing..even more than the RS..just...

When I had my engine replaced under warranty, it was a brand new unit, including head and injectors etc. The engine is "warrantied" for 2 years regardless of the main warranty, exactly the same as when the brake discs are replaced. They just refer to it as "2 years parts and labour" but it's the sam...

I've ended up in a tuned Defender - There's nothing comparable worth spending your cash on - that's why RS4s are holding their value. I'm going to hold out for the RS5 with lots of fingers crossed.

Are they privet or dealership, If you really want the 06 plate any deal that can be done to put Audi warranty on it? cheapest is £1200 limited mileage, this is what I did. if the gap is to long before warranty they may wish to do a pre-inspection on the car. what's the price difference between cars...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Should a New Eng

Wow... It's depressing how little faith you have in Audi. I take your point an engine should last more than 39k miles but 250k+ is optimistic on a performance car that revs to 8200rpm. Also most people don't buy a car and keep it for 250k miles so they wouldn't be too concerned about how the 4th or...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Should a New Engine increase car

A new engine just because the car had a hesitation sounds a bit dramatic. I would have thought that a competent engine management man could have resoved it. Thanks for your opinion guys, facinating to see such two distinct groups. I think think I know which one I prefer (!), and I suspect a true B7...

Re: Should a New Engine increase car's value-Your opinion Pl

It was done under warranty by Derby Audi, to cure a hesitation issue. It's done about 800 miles since.

Should a New Engine increase car's value-Your opinion Please

Hi All Genuine Question - I'm looking to sell my 06/39k B7, which has just had a brand new engine, new exhuasts, and new discs/pads allround - for approx 31k Would I be wrong to expect/ask £1000 to £1500 more than similar cars for sale? Given the number of issues with coking I thought it would be a ...

I'll double check with them, but the report was that one of the flaps had a barely discernable crack in it redering it "not fully operational; leading to restricted airflow above 4000 rpm. It was getting progressively worse, so I imagine the "crack" was getting bigger. I'll try and get hold of the i...

Useful Info....

I commented on this post a few months back; that my B7 was suffering similar hesitation issues, eventually leading to a new engine being fitted. I wanted to post that the problem that was eventually found was that one of the manifold flaps was cracked. Apparently this is has been found on a number o...
