I was recently quoted almost £2k by my local stealer (Exeter Audi), they claimed it was 14hrs labour.

Had the job done at Mrc instead. They managed it in 8 hours.

In my case the charge was in the 800 region, but obviously can vary from one car to another.

Mike.

RE: Servicing etc

I would also reccommend MRC, even though they are just a little over 150 miles from you, its well worth making the trip. As i also live near Exeter i share your opinion of the local stealer, just this week they quoted me £2k for a new clutch and claimed the job takes 14 hours. MRC did the job in a n...

RE: Steering wheel diameter

German and swedehead do a steering lock that is shaped like a baseball bat. I find it a good visual deterent, and can easily be used as a baseball bat! ... if you know what i mean.

RE: Problems with Michelin ps2

In trying to find out why my ps2s are not performing correctly, i noticed that the tyre pressures should be 36 front and 34 rear, pretty sure i am running 32 on all four corners. Hopefully by raising the pressure this will solve my problem.

Problems with Michelin ps2

Although i havent posted very much, i am a very keen reader of the advice given on this forum. When my tyres needed renewal i took it as a no-brainer to fit Michy ps2s, as so many people were reccommending them. However i find that i lose grip with them on 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear changes when accelera...

My guess would be that the original S4 suspension was knackered, hence it sat lower than it should have. And then the RS4 suspension being new will probably settle, so the two things together would account for the 25mm difference.

Look on the bright side, you can ride speed humps a lot better.

I saw virdee`s (R33V), and contacted him. He had me a duplicate one made, and i am well pleased with it. If you do a search there is a photo of it somewhere, probably last October-ish time. If i knew how to post photos i would put a pic of mine on here.

RE: OK - think I need the RNS-E upgrade...

Hi Marcus, Mine took about half an hour to do, in a services car-park. I paid £1150 for everything, which included BT phone module, latest navigation disc and fitting. Oh and also included the cost of fitting the carbon front plate as per R33V`s. Afraid i cant help with TV info. Also my original fit...
