What are these tuning companies charging for a flash/map..?

My local Audi dealer was telling me the car will be priced at 76k without options.. Anybody heard any different?

It's probably his Dad's RS4, hence all the sniping. Wonder if his dad knows he's spending time on car forums, instead of doing his homework!! lol

Your first post on the forum, was this........ Hey everybody. Just got my first Audi about a month ago. It's Daytona Grey, 19s, Recaros, sunroof, Nav, TV, Btooth etc. Will probably try to swap it for the new M3 though when it comes out. Think we all recognise a troll, when we see one! :lol:

The Porsche engines for the GT3 and GT3 RS are identical spec, but generally the RS engines dyno at higher bhp outputs. It is a known fact that all the GT3/RS engines are bench run and dyno'd before they go in the cars.. Porsche then take the engines with the higher figs and stick them in the RS car...

Just reading this thread on the price of the Supercharger kit. Agree that price is absurd, and not remotely in ratio with cost of the car (new). Ruf charge similar prices for conversions on the 996 GT2, but this involves a full engine rebuild (rods/pistons etc). A lot of money, but more in ratio to ...

Bloody hell - £3.5k off, and delivery next week. Impressive... Make sure the GSM is dash mounted rather than centre console, otherwise you lose the RS wheel Cheers, GSM is dash mounted, although not sure I like it that way. The rest of spec was perfect, so will overlook the plastic cradle on dash. ...

As posted on another thread.. have spoken to Revo Mitch, he has seen 438bhp on the dyno, after some decent mapping work. As soon as I get my car will get it on the dyno for some before and after comparisons.
Will keep you all posted.

I use a specialist at Silverstone called Fearnsport for the RS, they have worked on my previous cars including a 996 GT2 which was heavily modded for trackwork (Engine, suspension, brakes, clutch, motorsport diff, etc) . They have put an aggressive geo on the RS, as it did understeer out of the box...
