RE: A rare colour
Looks tidy. You could order your S3 in any colour you wanted - provided you were willing to wait for it to be specially made, and willing to pay for the privilege. Audi would even use other manufacturers colour - I know there is a Ferrari red one somewhere in the UK that was a special order. On that...

RE: lowering and size of wheels?
TBH you might be better off having a look at www.audi-sport.net where there is a much larger community of S3 owners, plus plenty of photos of cars to inspire you. I run mine on 18 inch (225/40 18 tyres) and I've got ABT lowering springs and standard dampers which are -30mm compared to standard. I'm ...

The calipers from the Brembo GT kit are identical to those off a Mk1 Seat Leon Cupra R. So if you can find one of those in the scrapper you can get the discs, pads, hoses, calipers and mounting brackets from the Leon and that will give you the equivalent of a GT kit. Worth keeping an eye on eBay - I...

All depends what power is your s3's running at??? Horsepower isn't the important factor - it's torque. High torque will kill your clutch - anything over 310lb/ft and you are going to be pushing a standard clutch. Plus 5000rpm clutch dumps aren't going to do much good either - no matter what clutch ...

I had a Sachs uprated organic clutch (good for 330 lb/ft - mine is running 312lb/ft with an MTM rechip). I bought the clutch as part of a group buy on SeatCupra.net from JBS in Chesterfield. It was, from memory, 5 hours labour to fit (circa £250) and the clutch itself was £446 including a 19% discou...

RE: Knocking noise???
I had this with mine - it was the Anti Rollbar drop link which had worn out. Easy peasy to replace as a DIY job. I got mine when riding over rough surface roads or speed bumps.
Having said that knocking from that area could also be top mounts or bushes.
