Hi, I cant open your sound file, but i had a what could be a similar problem. The RS4 engine has a cam chain that is tensioned by a hydraulic piston and chain guide. If the piston becomes worn it will allow the cam chain to get loose and rattle like hell. By the time i had got the car in to be fixed...

What is the age and condition of the rear discs that you have?

For me the choice was easy,...needed to change gears with a manual gearbox, but everyone has different views.
My advice is to go and visit a dealer and take a drive in each car....see which you prefer. Both are superb.

I have being trying to get access to the Bose front speakers in my car(RS4), as one sounds absolutely crap...probably blown. Each time I try and prize away the speaker cover it does not seem to want to come away from its mounting bracket, and i'm sure that the cover will split if apply any more forc...
