RE: Sooo close to running out of petrol!!
I recall on a BMW fahrer trining course driving an M3 for several fairly hot laps of the Nurburgring Grand Prix circuit with the computer showing the range as zero. Sweating a bit as didn't want to have to walk back to the pits.

Don't know about the better built. Prior to my RS4 I had 2 E46 M3s and a Z4 M coupe none of which were near a garage between scheduled visits. My RS4 (4,500 miles) has been in 3 times before oil leak finally fixed and stll have to get the full lock grunching noises fixed. Love the car but very disap...

No regrets about driving the car, it is great but disappointed by the need for some warranty work in my 4 months & 4,500 miles of ownwrship (oil cooler leak) and still not sure that the noises on full lock are "a feature" rather than a fault. Previously in the last 4 years had BMW z4MC & 2 E46 M3s n...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Audi Day
The day was good fun but very limited access to the RS4, The slalom & track laps (the "Stowe circuit" - basically laid out on the runways at the Stowe corner end, none of the GP circuit used) were in automatic tts. I understand that more advanced courses will be available next year.

It was interesting at an Audi driving experience day at Silverstone recently they were very protective of the RS4 clutches repeatedly stressing that we must be careful not to ride the clutch. They didn't make the same comments about the S5s and TTs. Their Swedish rally driver instructor didn't seem ...
